Newmarket Baby in York Region - The guide to all things you need for a baby in the GTA!

We wanted to find out if our kids would enjoy downhill skiing. Lift tickets, rentals and a hike up north seemed like quite an investment if we were going to discover it wasn't their cup of tea. Then we found Uplands Golf and Ski Club. If you're in the south end of York Region Uplands is ideal. Just south of Hwy 7, Uplands is a great after school of weekend morning activity. You likely don't need to be concerned about road conditions heading south and you're still close to lots of other weekend-essential amenities (the mall, the grocery store...) Uplands offered a two-hour lift ticket and the rental shop staff did a great job sizing the kids up for equipment. As a parent I got a special price-reduced lift ticket as a toddler assistant. Since I was going to be with my son on the bunny hill, Uplands knew that a lift ticket for the other runs would be wasted.
